Andrew Demetriou had this to say about the deal in which Foxtel get 4 games a week:
"It's a fantastic result for our football fans across the country, they are the big winners out of this arrangement," he said.

"It's a fantastic result also for our plan as a code to grow our game nationally and it’s a fantastic result for the long term security of our 16 clubs."

And he described it as the "best national broadcast arrangements in the history of the game."

I would suggest that it's the worst national broadcast arrangement and it will seriously hurt the long term security of some of the 16 clubs. The smaller and less popular clubs will get even less exposure on tv and attract even less members.

I don't know why the AFL signed a deal letting them sell up to 4 games a week. Sure they got more money, but at the expense of the fans.

I reckon Gwen Stephani's new song is one of the worst pieces of music I've ever heard. Often I hear music and don't understand how people can like it but it seems to me that this song has absolutely no merit in any way. There doesn't seem to be anything about it at all for anyone to like except that it's by a famous person.

Predictably I'm too lazy to have switch blog providers yet. But I will. I will.

I hate when checkout chicks (and stores generally) want me to put my card in the machine when I'm paying by credit card or eftpos. It always takes much longer as I have to work out which way round to put it. Plus I shouldn't have to deal with stuff like that.

Plus I hate when checkout chicks (or other retail sales assistants) as me for my "autograph" when I'm paying by credit card and they want my signature.

In the two hours since I started the process of logging into my blogger/blogspot account I've forgotten what it was I wanted to say in the first place. I will be changing blog accounts because this one has become unusable in the last few weeks.

If I am able I wil log in and give a link to my new blog when I set it up.

I wonder if You Tube will become this slow and shit when google sink their claws deeper into it.

It fucking irritates me how the Barmy Army chants "Barmy Army Barmy Army" over and over at cricket matches. Shouldn't they be cheering their team rather than cheering themselves?

The roos have a new logo (apologies for the rest of the stuff that comes in with it). I think it's fucking terrible. It's supposed to be more aggressive. Not only do I not think it's more aggressive but I don't see why our logo should have to look aggressive. It doesn't even look like a kangaroo. I can understand that they need to attract new members but throwing tradition out the window is a stupid way to do that. The old logo is an icon, the new one looks like something from the NBL (and we all know how popular that is.
